“juxtapose” is a series of original satellite shots of sparsely populated places in the world taken from Google Maps. Simultaneously side by side, they reveal the poetic strength of the forces of nature in comparison to technologies used for the rationalized documentation of our world. The different weather conditions and seasons are disparities which evolve from Google’s automatic algorithms for updating the pictorial material. These discrepancies analyze the influence of dilating technologies on our perception of space and time and finally uncover the blinding appearance of reality. – km temporaer
