Live audiovisual performance, 70 min

Holographic is Daniel Wohl‘s sophomore album, out January 29th on New Amsterdam Records. Co-produced with Paul Corley (Oneohtrix Point Never, Tim Hecker, Ben Frost) and mastered by Bedroom Community’s Valgeir Sigurdsson, Holographic expands its lush sound world through collaborations with guest artists Lucky Dragons, Olga Bell, Caroline Shaw and ensembles Bang on a Can All-Stars, Mantra Percussion, Mivos Quartet and Iktus Percussion. The album explores the disparate landscape between acoustic and electronically produced sound – one that merges the compositional and performance practice of the classical tradition with the possibilities of digital sound.

Album commissioned by MASS MOCA, St Paul Chamber Orchestra’s Liquid Music Series, Indianapolis Museum of Art, and the Baryshnikov Arts Center .
Visuals commissioned by the Film Society Minneapolis St Paul.
